ORGANIC BUG CONTROL
LADY BUGS
a favorite "good bug!"  When released at sundown into your garden, (because they don't fly at night), ladybugs eat aphids, mealy bugs, scale, leaf hoppers, and other destructive pests.  And they keep on eating until the bad guys are gone, laying their own eggs in the process.  When new pests arrive, fresh ladybugs will be waiting.
PRAYING MANTIDS
These ferocious looking creatures eat a wide variety of insects: Beetles, caterpillars, grubs, aphids, grass-hoppers, almost anything that moves.  But they are so much fun that many people buy them for pets.  And since they don't fly, they stay right in the area where they are released.  Like ladybugs, praying mantids are completely harmless to people, pets, and the environment.
BENEFICIAL NEMATODES
These microscopic insects will seek out and destroy over 200 kinds of soil dwelling and wood boring insects, including cutworms, armyworms, rootworms, weevils, grubs, fungus gnat larvae, and many more.  They are completely safe for people, pets, and the environment, and are compatible with other beneficial insects.  Beneficial nematodes are shipped live in the box and may be mixed directly into the soil and are applied with a sprayer.
LIVE EARTHWORMS
Earthworms eat and burrow twenty-four hours a day!  All of this tunneling aerates the soil (getting oxygen to the roots), allows for easier root growth, and improves water retention.  They are a natural tie in for cold composting.  Earthworms help keep the soil loose.  Mother nature doesn't own a spade!  Earthworms consume ordinary soil and cast it back with more nutrients available to plants.  These "castings" release their nutrients slowly and do not leach out with watering.
EARTHWORM CASTINGS
This is pure, odorless, by-product of earthworms.  The worms consume ordinary soil and cast it back with 5 times more nitrogen, 1.5 times more calcium, 3 times more magnesium, 7 times more phosphates, 11 times more potash, and 40% more humus!  unlike chemical fertilizers, castings release their nutrients slowly, making it impossible to burn roots.  And, the nutrients won't leach out with watering.  Addition of these castings to potting and garden soils reduces density and improves water retention.  All plant life benefits from this natural soil amendment.
WHY USE BENEFICIAL INSECTS?

As everyone already knows, chemical pesticides are bad for us as well as bad for the environment.  Today, more and more people are beginning to explore alternative methods of insect control in their gardens.  One such method is to use beneficial insects to combat destructive insects right in your own yard!  Using beneficial insects is a highly effective way to control insects such as aphids, beetles, horn worms, grubs, and many others.  Using nature, we can effectively control nuisance insects without spraying or spreading a single chemical.  Beneficial insects are safe for people, pets, plants, and the planet!
